“So, here we have a beautiful Rieker shoe. We first make it nice and shiny with this goat hair brush. And I’ll show you how to do that now on the other shoe. <\/em><\/span><\/div>\n

The other shoe is first freed from the laces. It’s always very important that you can also get to the sides to nourish the seams. Shoelaces to the side. <\/em><\/span><\/div>\n

Then I would first remove dirt from the shoe. I do this with the gloss brush. Hardly dirty, a little dust. I’ll start with the application brush and the black leather care cream and will first massage the edge of the shaft and the seams with it. <\/em><\/span><\/div>\n

The edge of the shaft is very important, because if water runs down there, it runs into this joint. and possibly cause damage if these seams are no longer waxed at some point. When applying the cream, I make sure to distribute it as evenly and quickly as possible until a slight shine is created. I make sure that I don’t go with the brush on the outside of this seam, because it’s black shoe polish, then it would turn black. I could then rework it afterwards with the natural shoe polish if I want to protect it as well. Massage in dark seams nicely, we have a brown application, we leave that out of the way. <\/em><\/span><\/div>\n

Now I have spread it thin enough. Then I take the shine brush again and in very rough strokes I now lay the wax so smooth that it starts to shine. We see a clear difference. This freshly applied wax now has to dry first. For that, I might put the shoe away overnight. The next day I can polish it with the soft gloss brush, made of goat hair, I can then polish it to get a really nice water or mirror shine. Of course, that’s not possible in a hurry, but we’ll see how it turns out.” <\/em><\/span><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n
